Army shot 44 3-pointers in its season opener against Air Force, and in its next three games, the team shot 31, 39 and 21 3-pointers. Coach Mike Brey told reporters after Friday’s game that he expects to use a smaller lineup at times today against Army. Brey played guards Eric Atkins, Grant, Pat Connaughton and Demetrius Jackson around forward Austin Burgett against Santa Clara to defend the perimeter and create a smoother-running offense.
