3 charged in Paulding meth bust

Ohio police and investigators today arrested three people at the site of a suspected meth lab in Paulding, according to a statement from the Paulding County sheriff?'s office.

While executing a search warrant inside a residence at 13570 Rita St., the statement said, police arrested Joshua P. Smith, 36, Jonathan C. Hornish, 24, and Cassandra R. Crites, 30.

They were charged with possession of drugs, assembly of chemicals to produce methamphetamine and felony child endangering, the statement said.

During the search, investigators found Crites with her 10-year-old daughter inside the house, and worked with Paulding Job & Family Services to care for the child, the statement said.

Police will continue investigating, the statement said. It said those with information on drug activity are asked to call the sheriff?'s office at 419-399-3791.
