Fire damages 2 Twin Oaks apartments

Fort Wayne Fire Department was called to an apartment fire on the southeast side early Wednesday.

When crews arrived at the Twin Oaks apartments, they found smoke coming from a first floor apartment and from the roof.

The fire had spread to a second floor apartment through a space in the wall. Both apartments sustained smoke and water damage. One occupant was treated for smoke inhalation.

The fire was under control in 20 minutes. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
