Roberson earns Big Ten Player of the Week

Indiana redshirt sophomore quarterback Tre Roberson saved the best game of his career for the last week of the season.

The Big Ten recognized his effort Monday.

Roberson tied a program record with six touchdown throws in a 56-36 season-ending win against Purdue at Memorial Stadium on Saturday, and the conference gave him his first Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week honors as a result.

The Indianapolis native, who split time with sophomore Nate Sudfeld for most of the season at the position, got all but a few snaps against the Boilermakers.

He made the most of that opportunity, going 25-of-37 for 273 yards and rushing for a career-best 154 yards on 21 attempts. Roberson also threw two interceptions.

The Bucket Game win was the first in Roberson's time at IU and the first for coach Kevin Wilson during his tenure in Bloomington.
