Local player goes to Federal League

Sorry I've been out of the loop for a spell. I was under the weather.

Opened up my email to find this news, though: Fort Wayne-native Larkin Saalfrank, who was a goalie for IPFW, is getting his shot in the pros with Danville of the Federal Hockey League.

I don't know the details yet, except one of Danville's goalies, former Komet Nick Niedert, was loaned to Quad City.

And Danville has three games in three nights with Dayton this weekend, so maybe he'll play.

Saalfrank was in training camp with the Komets.
