I said it before, I'll say it again, no way does Colin C. work for GG. How could he respect him as his superior? That's not a slam on Gary. But there is no way in Chaulks mind Gary is even close to being his equal, let alone superior. And from the K's standpoint it was never going to happen either. Can you imagine the uproar from the fans if Colin was standing behind that bench right now. Gary would have to be looking over his shoulder with ever decision just waiting for the Frankes to replace him with Colin. I wrote two weeks ago that if I were David the first thing I'd do is hire an asst. coach. So yes, hire Gratz, now! What could it hurt. Every team that comes in here has two coachs, and the most inexperienced coach in the league with an unaffilated team doesn't need one.....what idiot thinks thats a good idea........oh yea, don't forget the last i wrote David should do was fire himself!

I love this idea, another fantastic choice behind the bench.
Can we hire the Buddy's Pizza Guys to run the marketing and PR department?
Where is Dennis Hextall these days? Is he still out there trying to find teams for the IHL?
Who own the Generals?

Whatever the reasons were for not hiring Chaulk as the assistant coach, I still think that it was a mistake.
On the Buddy's Pizza Guys thought - wouldn't mind having those guys around. We need to get more for the money we spend on pizza slices at the Coliseum.

I like the idea of an assistant coach. Help is not a bad thing. I do NOT think Gratz is the guy for the job. I think part of the problem with Graham and players is respect. I do not see a duo of Graham and Gratz gaining and keeping the respect of ECHL players. Could even see things spiraling downward with two Sphl coaches running the show. Keep looking for an asst, there has to be a better choice.

Feel the need to comment. Based on track record, both in the community and as a leader and player for the K's, I think most are not giving Chaulk enough credit. This is a guy who had been nothing but upstanding and loyal for his team for a decade...have to consider that in order for him to no longer be a Komet, he had to be pushed out. I don't know the motivation, but this guy has shown in history to be a humble team player--I bet he would have stood by his team in any role in order to lead them in the way he always has. I speculate Graham was threatened by Chaulk's authority with the players. Clearly, the team needed (needs) his leadership (or the like). Don't know if Gratz is the answer, but feel for certain that whatever they did to force Chaulk to look elsewhere was a major MISTAKE.
