LOS ANGELES – Fast & Furious star Paul Walker was killed by injuries from both the impact and subsequent fire when the Porsche his friend was driving smashed into a light pole and tree, according to an autopsy released Wednesday.
Walker died Saturday when the car smashed into a light pole and tree, then exploded in flames.
The 2005 Porsche Carrera GT was driven by Roger Rodas, who was killed by the impact alone, according to the autopsy released by the Los Angeles County coroner’s office.
Universal Pictures announced Wednesday that production on Fast & Furious 7 will shut down indefinitely.
Universal announced Tuesday that it will donate a portion of the proceeds from the upcoming DVD, Blu-ray and digital release of Fast & Furious 6 to Walker’s charity Reach Out Worldwide.
Puerto Rico police issued more than 100 tickets to drivers who organized a caravan to honor Walker and created massive traffic jams across the island’s capital.
