Mad Ants come up short again

Highlights of the 104-101 loss to Iowa at Memorial Coliseum on Dec. 12, 2013.

Postgame reaction to loss

After the Mad Ants lost 104-101 to the Iowa Energy, Fort Wayne coach Conner Henry was less than enthused.

"I was expecting more improvement today," Henry said. "Once again, these moral victories of being close but not quite getting there, it's old and tiresome. We had 30 more offensive possessions than our opponent tonight and we just didn't make shots or capitalize on specific opportunities."

The Mad Ants are 1-4. The Energy is 5-2.

"We're not getting frustrated," said Chris Porter, who had 10 points. "We've just got to find a way to get over that threshold, so to speak. Every game, we've been in it. We've just got to make the right decisions at crucial times. … We've got to clean things up down the stretch and make the right decisions, take care of the ball."

More bad news: Trey McKinney-Jones, who has a back injury, is unlikely to play Saturday against Idaho.
