Board to review site picked for Cindy’s Diner

A proposal is now in place to move Fort Wayne’s iconic Cindy’s Diner to a portion of the parking lot of the Community Center.

The Board of Park Commissioners is set to hear plans on the move later today, city officials announced through a media release.

A $71 million development in downtown that includes a new national headquarters for Ash Brokerage as well as some residential development was announced in September.

That development is forcing Cindy’s to move from its current location at Wayne and Harrison streets.

The new location for the small diner would be West Berry Street and Maiden Lane, according to the city.

Such a move would, weather permitting, be completed sometime in February.
