Pole barn gutted in rural Angola blaze

A fire at a rural Angola pole barn caused an estimated $55,000 damage Thursday, according to Angola’s fire department.

Firefighters were sent to 0127 N. Old Road 1 about 9:30 a.m.

When they arrived, they found the 30-by-60-foot barn with heavy smoke coming out of the eaves and overhead door, the statement said.

All of the barn’s contents were destroyed, but no injuries were reported.
