Girlfriend arrives home with stabbing wound

The woman let herself in to his apartment like normal, but it wasn’t until after she staggered to his couch that he saw what was wrong.

She was bleeding.

Fort Wayne police are investigating a stabbing that detectives say occurred Friday night in the 5800 block of Turtle Creek Drive.

A man told officers he was in his apartment with another person when his girlfriend came in about 9:30 p.m.

She had been stabbed in the chest, according to police reports, but she told her boyfriend nothing about what happened.

The woman also would not answer officers when they asked her who had stabbed her.

She was taken to a local hospital in serious condition, according to police reports. At the time, no weapon had been found at the apartment complex.
