FORT WAYNE – The National Weather Service in northern Indiana has issued a flood watch for much of northeast Indiana and northwest Ohio.

The watch is in effect for 1 p.m. Saturday through Sunday morning for the following counties:

  • Indiana – Noble, DeKalb, Starke, Pulaski, Marshall, Fulton, Kosciusko, Whitley, Allen, White, Cass In, Miami, Wabash, Huntington, Wells, Adams, Grant, Blackford and Jay.
  • Ohio – Williams, Fulton, Defiance, Henry, Paulding, Putnam, Van Wert and Allen.
Some areas are expected to get rain – heavy at times – with 1 to 3 inches in the watch area. Combined with melting snow, minor to moderate flooding is likely in the Maumee and Wabash river basins into next week, the weather service said.
