Giving back

•The Zonta Club of Fort Wayne donated 120 quilts to students in the Head Start program at the East Wayne Street Center. The quilts were made by club members and other quilting clubs including Threads of Hope, the Quilting Guild of Gethsemane Lutheran Church and Sisters of the Cloth. The club also donated 43 emergency bags of toiletries to Charis House.

Glenbrook Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram Fiat gave proceeds from its Community and Charity Sales Event to the Boys & Girls Club of Fort Wayne.

PetSafe will donate a pet toy, up to 1,000 toys, to Fort Wayne Animal Care & Control for every “like” the company receives on its Facebook page through Dec. 31.

Pathfinder Kids Kampus in Huntington will receive $21,000 from the annual Turkey Trot 5K run/walk held on Thanksgiving.

•The Judy A. Morrill Recreation Center received a $10,090 grant from the PNC Foundation. The grant will be for equipment and classroom resources for the JAM Early Education preschool in Garrett.

Ivy Tech Community College Northeast’s Early Childhood Education student organization collected socks, hats, mittens, scarves and undergarments for the Fort Wayne Rescue Mission.
