Concordia girls beat Luers

De’Jour Young scored 16 points for Concordia in the Cadets’ 46-43 win at Bishop Luers on Friday.

The Cadets (7-2) had a 17-14 edge over the Knights at halftime and were able to hold on despite being out-scored 19-14 in the fourth quarter.

Bishop Luers (7-3) was led by Shayla Sutorius with 14 points and Taya Andrews with 10 points.

SOUTH SIDE 82, BISHOP DWENGER 33: At Bishop Dwenger, Lakyn Gulley scored 17 points, Brittni Clopton had 16 points, and LaKesha Stephens added 15 for the Archers (4-4).

The Saints (2-8) were led by Sierra Fisher’s 13 points.

NORTHROP 53, NORTH SIDE 17: At Northrop, Aleah Swary scored 16 points and had 11 rebounds and Savannah Jones had 13 points for the Bruins (3-7).

Kailee Stuller led North Side (1-8) with 6 points and 6 rebounds.

SNIDER 55, WAYNE 43: At Wayne, Deja Wimby led the Panthers (4-5) with 21 points and 7 rebounds. Nourachia Jackson had 11 points, and Karinna Smith added 10.

The Generals (3-5) were led by Jamela Hathaway’s 10 points.

RICHMOND 71, HUNTINGTON NORTH 48: At Huntington North, Destiny Perkins scored 30 points and Mackenzie Taylor added 24 for the Red Devils (5-3).

Hannah Stoffel and Alyssa Hiple led the Vikings (3-6) with 10 points each.

CANTERBURY 74, BLACKHAWK CHRISTIAN 33: At Blackhawk Christian, Kindell Fincher scored 20 points, and Darby Maggard added 17 to lead the Cavaliers (7-1).

Olivia Byler and Gabbie Jolley led the Braves (2-7) with 6 points each.


COLUMBIA CITY 61, EAST NOBLE 51: At East Noble, Mason Coverstone scored 26 points and Justin Bachelder scored 24 to lead the Eagles (3-2).

The Knights (0-4) were led by Brandon Nichols’s 16 points, and Michael Sharp scored 12.

NEW HAVEN 58, BELLMONT 32: At New Haven, Steve McElvene’s 16 points and 12 rebounds led the Bulldogs (2-1) over the Braves (1-4).

NORTH SIDE 58, NORTHROP 51: At Northrop, Mike Davis had 16 points and 8 assists and Tre’Vion Crews added 14 points for the Redskins (4-0).

Enis Becirevic had 18 points, Jajuan Starks had 15, and Jacoby Claypool had 12 points to lead the Bruins (3-4).

WARSAW 67, WAWASEE 49: At Warsaw, Jordan Stookey led the Tigers (4-2) with 21 points.

Gage Reinhard and Sam Clark led the Warriors (1-6) with 12 points each.
