Brett Lyon=4gp 3 assists, 15 PIM=better than your #79, hope they will fight on Sunday.

That is the size of guy Henley likes to fight, and the fact the other guy wasn't looking...it's guys like Lizon begging him to go when his "knee" hurts, I remember back when this happened.

We had a Henley type player on this team....he was our captain!!!!

With the exception of general height, Tuzzolino was nothing like Henley.

They both play the same "physical" game!!

Henley and Tuzzolino were both a big waste of a roster spot as is 79. The Komets need a real GM.Without a real GM things will continue as the are.

OK!! You have my vote for our NEW GM. Now we can win it all. THANK YOU

No your right, let's bring back somebody who did nothing last time around and didn't even want to be here! We have a team that won't play for the coach......what we need is somebody ELSE who won't stick up for a teammate!!! Smart, let's build around that type because every other ECHL team must be wrong about not wanting a player who "punches the clock" all season.....that will help this team!!!!

I do not understand why the Komets did not resign Jamie Milam. He is awesome on the power play, good defender and is proven in the E. He would have been a way better vet spot than Kwiet.

Not sure about Henley.
Milam, a veteran, a scorer, but also pretty slow when skating.
I would take a B. Molle, Krug, Cescon type of defenseman. Just play a simple control your area, your crease type of player.

Under the tread "Lets break it down", please do me a favor. Toward the end please reads Hit's comment and then mine. If you can refer me to my questions asked about the pregame show, I'd appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

Alan, It was on the radio broadcast that many things were said... This is the jist of what was said by someone who was listening:
Started off by talking about the naysayers in the locker room and that poor coach because they wont follow his plan and then it moved into the desention in the fanbase, they arent real fans and that he doesnt have their phone numbers; but if he did he would knock them around and there is no excuse for people like them.....
Just another in a long line of special comments made on the airwaves during the last decade... Remember the "idiots" comment when those same fans were the first to let people know that Muskegon was leaving the IHL2 for the USHL???
A lot of good fans who invest thousands of dollars into the team every year are getting pooped on because they have objective opinions...

I listened to my first radio broadcast in several years and, wow!
It was almost unintelligible.
"The boys gotta do it, he missed, who's got it, ohhh.., better move it".
Impossible to tell which team has the puck. Very frustrating.

last time I knew... this was a blog... on the internet... if people are gonna cry about certain comments, then they shouldn't be reading or posting. amazes me. ban whoever you want. if they don't meet your rules, get rid of them. seems anyone who has an opposite opinion than certain people get blasted, and that's just fine. I don't comment on here much at all anymore cuz im a little too grown up to bicker on the great internet world. and honestly don't really care. next thing you know, there will be great big articles in the paper about the bloggers and how they are ruining the komets. every blog has every type of person... its every where. grow some thicker skin and be mature enough not egg on the fire starters. doesn't seem so hard to me. this isn't grade school.

Thanks, JR. I suspected as much.
Yes, I remember those comments he aired. Funny, never heard any type of retraction either.
Loyalty is a good thing. One thing no one can accuse him of is being disloyal. Honesty is a good thing. Problem is his unique brand seems to blend both loyalty and honesty into a weave that only fits his definition. He seems to have a "license" ( in his mind) but with it comes a huge responsibility because of his use of the airwaves.
For a guy who served in WWII, and has consistently showed patriotism by his actions, his use or his "poor choice" of words in his telecast leaves me to conclude that maybe time has passed him by. Seems he had a little trouble a season or two ago with the Japanese, didn't he?
Anyway, I put my name in the comments, my number will be real easy for him to obtain, he can call anytime he wants as I'd love to go to lunch and chat.
Thanks again, JR.

I truly beleive this season can be salvaged with everyone involved saving face in doing so... Its going to take a little money and some swallowing of pride to do so....
1. Hire a consultant. Someone who has been around and very familiar with the ECHL and/or AHL... Evansville did this last season and it seems to be working for them. Kzoo also did this when they entered the ECHL and it worked very well for them...
2. Hire an assisstant coach with proven special teams knowledge. The Komets have traded away 3 very solid special teams contributers and a foundation to roof overhaul of the systems may be needed.
3. A couple roster tweaks... If the 3rd line is going to be non productive offensively, they need to be hell raising board bangers. A player or two who are a couple short of a six pack to get the other team looking over their shoulders would help. Guys who would make the other team think twice before taking liberties with our smaller forwards and goalies would help big time. A physical, crease clearing Dman would be nice and maybe Martine is that guy. He seemed to be getting a little grumpy with some Reading Players on Friday.
The Komets are in 10th place while only being about 6 points from 5th place. It can happen, the powers that be just need a lil help.
