Florida trucker dies on Indiana Toll Road

A Florida truck driver died while driving on the Indiana Toll Road on Saturday morning after suffering what police described as a medical emergency.

Indiana State Police responded to a report of a semi stuck in the median of the Toll Road in LaGrange County. The truck was running and in gear when the trooper arrived. The driver, Juian J. Oses, 59, of New Port Richey, Fla., was found unresponsive and without a pulse. Troopers performed CPR but could not revive him. He was pronounced dead by the LaGrange County coroner, and an autopsy will be performed.

Police said the rain and melting snow made the median so muddy that the truck stopped there and did not reach oncoming traffic, which possibly prevented an accident.
