Komets make trade for goaltender

The Komets have acquired goaltender Ben Meisner from the Utah Grizzlies in a trade for forward Phil Mangan.

Meisner, 23, started this season with Utah, appearing in 12 games (2-8-0, 2.65 goals-against average). Meisner attended the Chicago Wolves AHL training camp. Last season the Halifax, Nova Scotia native completed four seasons of AHA (Atlantic Hockey League) play with American International College.

Mangan, 26, accumulated three assists and eight penalty minutes in 15 games with the Komets.
