  • Looks almost official
Center Thomas Frazee posted on his twitter account he will play for the Komets this season.
  • Next great local hockey star?
Karch Bachman is on track to a professional career in hockey. Possibly one in the NHL. It'll be fun to follow his development.
  • A possible new Komet
No official word yet, but I'm hearing that the Komets may be completing a deal with Thomas Frazee, who had 24 goals and 47 points in 60 games last season with Quad City of the CHL.

2 Komets players not at practice, disappear from roster

File
Mickey Lang

Mickey Lang, who led the entire ECHL with 17 points, didn't show up for Komets practice Thursday night. Neither did Mike Vaskivuo, the 2012 Playoff MVP, who is a top-line player.

Now they have been removed from the roster.

I haven't been able to reach Lang, Vaskivuo, coach Gary Graham or general manager David Franke yet. But based on what I'm hearing, it seems Lang and Vaskivuo have quit.

If that's the case, what a mess this has become. Five trades in seven weeks. Other players who have demanded trades. It seems Graham has lost the locker room.

All that said, don't bite the hand that feeds you. Quitting on a team, especially within 24 hours of three straight games, that stuff will affect your reputation forever.
