Mad Antics

  • Tryout information
The Mad Ants will hold an open tryout from 2 to 6 p.m. Sept. 14 at the Quest Multisport Complex in Chicago.
  • Howard not sure on return to Mad Ants this season
Howard has had some interest from NBA teams – that's nothing new, though Howard has never made a regular-season roster – and is again fielding offers from teams in Europe.
  • Ants will look different
When the Mad Ants open defense of their D-League championship this season, the roster will likely look very different.

Bad news, good news

The bad news for the Mad Ants tonight is they trail Sioux Falls 53-33 in the second quarter.

The good news is that Solomon Hill, in his first game with Fort Wayne since being assigned by the Indiana Pacers, looks like the real deal.

He has a team-high eight points on 2 of 5 shooting, and he's got three assists at Memorial Coliseum.

You can tell, though, the Mad Ants need to build some chemistry with all the new faces.
