Key matchup: IPFW F Steve Forbes vs. Bowling Green F/C Cameron Black – Forbes, IPFW’s 6-foot-9, 295-pound pivotman, has become such an integral part in what the Mastodons do that head coach Tony Jasick said his early foul trouble in the Mastodons’ 90-68 loss to Eastern Kentucky on Sunday changed the game. Now Forbes, who averages 11.3 points and 5 rebounds, goes up against Black, a 6-10, 258-pounder who co-leads the balanced Falcons in rebounding and averages 7.8 points to boot. If Forbes can win this battle on the low blocks it gives the Mastodons a much needed leg up against a Bowling Green team with five double-figure scorers.
