3 dead from flu in Indiana

Three people have died from influenza in Indiana, the State Department of Health said today.

The flu is now widespread across the state, Dr. William VanNess, health commissioner, said in a statement.

He encouraged all residents to get a flu shot.

A flu-vaccine locator is available at, and the vaccine usually is available at local health departments, pharmacies and in doctor's offices, the statement said.
