Canterbury’s Fincher scores 46

– Canterbury’s Kendell Fincher scored 46 points to set a school record in the Cavaliers’ 91-67 win at Triton Central on Saturday. Fincher added 16 rebounds.

Darby Maggard added 24 points for the Cavs (9-1).

NORWELL 48, PLYMOUTH 39: At Plymouth, Kelsey Beer led the Knights with 12 points, and Stephanie Conrad had six rebounds.

LEO 47, ANGOLA 33: At Leo, Abbie Heischman led the Lions (10-1) with 14 points. The Hornets (4-7) were led by Claire Grubb and Becca Buchs who scored 11 points each.

SOUTHERN WELLS 62, RANDOLPH SOUTHERN 22: At Randolph Southern, Lela Knowles scored 10 points and Caitie Horton had 9 rebounds in the Raiders’ win.

Boys basketball

NORTH SIDE 90, JEFFERSONVILLE 66: At Richmond, Tre’Vion Crews scored 23 points to lead the Redskins (11-1) to a third-place finish at the Bob Wettig Tournament.

Earlier in the day, the Redskins suffered their first loss of the season, 59-54 to Columbus North.

NORWELL 68, FLOYD CENTRAL 46: At Richmond, David Vogel scored 25 points, Drew Shively added 19, and Austin Hayden had 15 points in the Knights’ win.


Churubusco defeated Adams Central 42-36 in the Class A Finals of the IHSWCA Duals in Westfield. South Adams placed fifth, and Fremont finished in sixth.

Leo finished in fourth place in Class 2A, and East Noble in eighth place in 3A.
