City's plowing moves to residential streets

Plowing has moved to residential streets this morning, the city of Fort Wayne said today.

If possible, residents should not park on the street to maximize clearing efforts in their neighborhood, the city said in a statement.

Street Department crews moved into neighborhood streets about 7 a.m. after working around the clock to clear main streets and keep them passable, the statement said.

In addition to Street Department trucks, the city said it is using trucks from City Utilities, Traffic Operations, the Parks & Recreation Department and several private companies to assist.
