‘12 Years’ is top film for Vancouver critics

Awards season juggernaut “12 Years a Slave” took the best film honor Tuesday from the Vancouver Film Critics Circle.

The Canadian group named Oscar Isaac best actor for “Inside Llewyn Davis.” Cate Blanchett continued collecting best actress awards for “Blue Jasmine.”

Alfonso Cuarón took the best director title for “Gravity.”

Jared Leto (“Dallas Buyers Club”) is the best supporting actor, and Jennifer Lawrence (“American Hustle”) is the best supporting actress winner.

In Canada-specific categories, Matt Johnson’s “The Dirties” was named best film by a Canadian director. He was also named best actor for his work in the film.
