MLK breakfast reservations due

Reservations are due Friday for those who want to attend the Martin Luther King Unity Day breakfast on Monday.

The breakfast will kick off the all-day 29th Annual Dr. King Unity Day Celebration from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Grand Wayne Center.

Breakfast with the Clergy will begin at 8 a.m. and will feature Kenneth Christmon, pastor of Turner Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church, as the keynote speaker. Luther Whitfield, pastor of the New Covenant Worship Center, will be honored as the MLK Clergy of the Year and academic scholarships will be presented to area teens.
