Fort Wayne resident John Roberson has announced by mail that he again will seek the Democratic nomination for the U.S. House in Indiana’s 3rd District.
Roberson sent fliers to Political Notebook that identify him as a conservative Democrat and Vietnam War veteran who would advocate for the rights of women and workers.
The former city police officer and retired truck driver attracted 7.7 percent of the vote in the 2012 Democratic primary election, finishing last in a six-candidate field.
Justin Kuhnle of Kendallville announced last year he will run again in this year’s Democratic primary, which will be May 6. Kuhnle placed fourth in the 2012 primary, attracting 10.1 percent of the vote.
Republican Rep. Marlin Stutzman of Howe is expected to seek his third full term in Congress.
