Hamilton boys win consolation game

The Hamilton boys basketball team evened its record at 5-5 with a 63-49 win over visiting Central Noble on Thursday in a NECC tournament consolation game.

Casey Rote led the Marines with 25 points, while Addison Stephens added 15.

Hamilton pulled away by outscoring Central Noble 38-26 in the second half.

Connor McCoy had 17 points for the Cougars (1-10), while Brock Noe added 11.

Boys basketball

FAIRFIELD 57, CHURUBUSCO 52: The host Eagles beat the Falcons in a NECC tournament consolation game. For the Eagles (1-10), Blake Gross had 16 points, Garett Simmons 14, T.J. Campbell 12 and Alex Turnbow 11. The Falcons (7-4) got 20 points from Joe Line.

LAKELAND 55, ANGOLA 49: Jake Honer had 13 points for visiting Angola (3-7) in the loss in a NECC tournament consolation game. Marco Olivares had 17 points for the Lakers (3-6).


CONCORDIA 38, NORTHROP 27: The host Cadets won four matches by pin and two by major decisions in the win over the Bruins. Getting pins were Jacob Dillman (138), Blade Harris (152), Noah Asher (195) and Alex Kunkel (285). The two by major decisions were Jack Adair (126) and Dominic Perugini (178).
