Irish adds DT, loses LB in recruiting class

Notre Dame added to and lost a player from its 2014 recruiting class Friday.

Pete Mokwuah, a 6-foot-3, 310-pound defensive tackle from St. Joseph by the Sea in Staten Island, N.Y., changed his commitment from Rutgers to the Irish, according to SILive.com. Mokwuah is a three-star prospect.

Richard Yeargin III, a 6-4, 225-pound linebacker from University School of Nova South in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., decommitted from Notre Dame, according to reports. He is rated a four-star prospect.

With the addition of Mokwuah and subtraction of Yeargin, the Irish still have 23 members in their recruiting class.

Players can sign their national letters of intent on Feb. 5.
