Carroll gymnasts win on road

– Visiting Carroll got past Huntington North 104.65-99.95 in gymnastics Thursday.

The Chargers’ Sydney Ulrey won the all-around with a 35.05. She won the floor with a 9.2.

Delaney Garland was second in all-around (34.5) after winning vault (8.95) and bars (8.45).

Huntington North’s Mikayla Carpenter won the beam (9.2).

Gymnastics

NORTHROP 97.15, DEKALB 96.35: The host Bruins got a first place in the all-around from Lauren Wagner with a 35.35.

Wagner won the bars (8.85), beam (9.4) and floor (8.6). DeKalb’s Ryley Gibson won the vault (9.15).

Boys swimming

ADAMS CENTRAL 95, BELLMONT 86: Gavin Kaehr and Travis Bebout each finished first in four events for the visiting Jets. Kaehr and Bebout both swam on the winning 200-yard medley and 200 freestyle relays, while Kaehr won the 200 IM and 100 butterfly.

Girls swimming

SOUTH SIDE 133, NORTH SIDE 117, NORTHROP 74: Sarah Case won the 200 and 500 freestyles for the host Archers.
