Two accused of growing pot

An anonymous tip led state police to an indoor marijuana growing operation Friday in Decatur, where two people were arrested.

The investigation of the home at 421 Johns St. began about six or seven weeks ago with a tip to Crime Stoppers of Central Indiana, according to Indiana State Police.

At 10:50 a.m. Friday, officers searched the Johns Street home and seized more than 40 marijuana plants, processed marijuana and equipment used in the marijuana growing process, police said.

Marc A. Hill, 33, was arrested on felony charges of manufacturing marijuana within 1,000 feet of a youth program center, possession of more than 30 grams of marijuana and maintaining a common nuisance.

He also was charged with misdemeanor possession of paraphernalia.

Haven Jade Proctor, 32, was arrested on a felony charge of possession of more than 30 grams of marijuana and a misdemeanor charge of visiting a common nuisance.

Both were being held at the Adams County Jail.
