Bitterly cold temperatures expected tonight, weather service says

Bitterly cold temperatures are expected tonight in northeast Indiana and northwest Ohio, the National Weather Service said today.

Low temperatures early Tuesday are expected to be 5 degrees below zero to 15 degrees below zero across the area, the weather service said in a special weather statement.

The coldest readings are expected along the U.S. 24 corridor from Logansport to Fort Wayne to Defiance, Ohio, the statement said.
