A classic catastrophe at Corvette museum

Eight historic sports cars were damaged early Wednesday when a sinkhole opened up inside the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, Ky. The collapse triggered an alarm that brought firefighters to the empty museum before 6 a.m. The accident was a first for the museum, a city spokeswoman said, but western Kentucky’s terrain is susceptible to sinkholes.
