IPFW names Kelley Hartley Hutton athletic director

Kelley Hartley Hutton has been named director of athletics at IPFW, the university announced today.

Hartley Hutton, who will be leaving her role as women's volleyball coach, had been serving as interim athletic director since Tommy Bell moved to Western Illinois last year.

"Kelley is an enthusiastic leader and proven administrator who brings a wealth of experience to the athletic director position," Chancellor Vicky Carwein said in a statement. "We are excited about her ability to lead our program, to serve as an advocate for athletes and athletics, and to promote the quality of the student-athlete experence at a D-I institution like IPFW."

Hartley Hutton said: "I am both excited and humbled to be chosen for this position. I am looking forward to helping this department continue to move forward, both academically and athletically. My immediate priority will be to continue to build relationships with our fans and donors, and grow the base of support."

Associate head women's volleyball coach Steve Florio has been named head coach, succeeding Hartley Hutton.
