Fort Wayne sets daily snowfall record

A record snowfall of 2.9 inches was set in Fort Wayne on Monday, a record for a Feb. 17.

This breaks the old record of 1.8 inches set in 1924, according to a statement issued by the National Weather Service in northern Indiana.

By Thursday, northeast Indiana and northwest Ohio are expected to have highs near 49 degrees, with thunderstorms, fog and wind gusts up to 30 mph.
