Indiana GOP taps new staff

The Indiana Republican Party announced a new leadership team Tuesday.

GOP State Chair Tim Berry has tapped a new executive director, treasurer, field director, strategy director and executive assistant.

  • Rachel Jacobs moves from political director to executive director. She will oversee state party operations with a focus on the 2014 elections.
  • Dan Dumezich of Lake County was appointed treasurer. He is a former state representative and has "fundraising prowess," according to the news release.
  • Joe Elsener and Stephanie Beckley have been promoted to field director and strategy director respectively. They will enhance the efficiency and effect of the Republican Party's Get Out The Vote efforts.
  • Jodi Lohrman, chairwoman of the Clay County Republican Party, was recently hired to serve as the executive assistant. She is stepping down from her position on the state committee to fill this role.
"These new positions are the first of many additions to our 2014 team,"Berry said. "I have had the privilege of working with each of these individuals and I know their unique experiences and dedication will help the Republican Team to victory this fall!"
