West Jefferson lanes to be restricted

Traffic will be restricted on West Jefferson Boulevard at the railroad bridge elevation between Catalpa and West Main streets while pavement is being repaired, the city of Fort Wayne said today.

Two-way traffic will be switched to the two eastbound lanes of West Jefferson beginning at 9 a.m. Saturday, the city's traffic engineering department said in a statement.

After the westbound lanes are repaired, traffic will be two-way in the westbound lanes while the eastbound lanes are repaired, the statement said.

It said although traffic will be maintained, congestion and delays may be expected, and drivers are encouraged to find alternate routes.
