Couple plead guilty in bogus ad scheme

A man and woman accused in an advertising scheme pleaded guilty Friday and were ordered to pay more than $6,000 in restitution.

The now-divorced Susan and Dale Lindemann were charged last March with corrupt business influence after police said they posed as sales representatives from nonexistent companies promising advertising on pizza boxes, door hangers and restaurant placemats.

They took money from Golden Oldies, ASAP Computers and Meyer Antiques & Collectibles, as well as Speaker World, according to court documents.

On Friday, Dale Lindemann pleaded guilty to theft and was sentenced to three years of probation. Susan Lindemann pleaded guilty to aiding theft and was given two years of probation.

Susan Lindemann, 50, was ordered to repay $2,309.50 in restitution. Dale Lindemann, 62, was ordered to repay $4,426.20 in restitution, according to court documents.
