Woman held in stabbing at McDonald’s

A fight between a couple who had been dating for five months ended in a stabbing at a north-side McDonald’s on Thursday night, police said.

Theresa Hernandez, 39, is accused of stabbing the man she was dating in the arm and back with a fold-out knife. The fight took place about 9:15 p.m. at the McDonald’s at 3202 St. Joe Center Road.

Hernandez told police her boyfriend and her son began to fight, and that’s when she stabbed her boyfriend. Police arrested Hernandez on preliminary counts of battery and criminal recklessness.

She was being held in lieu of $12,500 bail.
