St. Francis closes 30-0, rips Goshen

NAIA No. 1 Saint Francis finished its season 30-0 with its 89-69 win over Goshen at the Hutzell Center.

Skylarr Shurn scored 23 points to lead the Cougars, who are 18-0 in the Crossroads League. Jennelle Wilson had 12, Paige Frisch 11 and Kalah Baer and Brooke Ridley 10 each.

Liz Tecca scored 17 and Tyra Carver added 15 for the Maple Leafs (4-26, 1-17).

It’s the first undefeated regular season in the Cougars’ 40-year history.

Saint Francis will play host to Spring Arbor at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

INDIANA TECH 85, CONCORDIA 69: At Indiana Tech, Ulyssia Richmond scored 29 and Rachael Kruse added 15 to lead the Warriors (18-12, 15-7 WHAC).

Brooke Adams led the Cardinals (14-16, 11-11) with 31.

Indiana Tech plays host to Aquinas in the WHAC tournament’s opening round at 7:30 p.m. Thursday.

No. 20 HUNTINGTON 59, TAYLOR 50: In Upland, Miranda Palmer scored 14, Amelia Recker had 13 and Pazia Speed added 12 for the Foresters (22-7, 14-4 Crossroads). Kelsey Bryant led the Trojans (12-18, 7-11) with 17.

Huntington plays host to Taylor in the Crossroads League tournament’s opening round at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

OLIVET 76, TRINE 51: In Olivet, Mich., Kayla Dunn scored 15 and Laura Rosekrans added 11 for the Thunder (6-19, 3-13 MIAA).

Stefanie Lang scored 16 to lead the Comets (22-3, 14-2).

HANOVER 79, MANCHESTER 76: In North Manchester, Justine Kruger scored 18, Erynn Meiklejohn had 17 and Katie Arterburn added 14 for the Spartans (13-11, 10-7 HCAC).

Alicia Hopkins scored 18, Megan Caudill scored 11 and Jessie Davidson added 10 for the Panthers (15-9, 13-4 HCAC).

Manchester faces Bluffton in the first round of the HCAC tournament at Transylvania University at 6 p.m. Friday.

GRACE 64, BETHEL 58: In Mishawaka, Allison Kauffman scored 15 points, Juaneice Jackson had 13 points and 13 rebounds, Lindsey Schaefer added 11 points for the Lancers (16-14, 12-6 Crossroads).

Angelique Moore scored 20 and Aimee Swihart added 13 for the Pilots (12-18, 7-11).

Grace plays at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Marian in the first round of the Crossroads League tournament.
