And Another Thing

And one more thing, Daytona-wise ...

So, to eat up some of the Longest Rain Delay In Recorded Human History on Sunday, Fox decided to re-air the 2013 Daytona 500, which caused no little confusion among some viewers who failed to read the crawl at the bottom of the screen that said Fox was re-airing the 2013 Daytona 500.

I can excuse that bit of inattention on the part of viewers, many of whom were in Daytona 500 party mode. But how does Fox's own news division miss the memo on an event being aired by its own network?

Because, yes, shortly after the conclusion of the 2013 race broadcast, this happened.

Really, guys? You mean Jimmie Johnson won again, just like in 2013? And darned if the finish didn't look exactly the same!

Then again ... this was Fox News. So consider the source.
