A woman and her boyfriend, described by police as significant suppliers of heroin in Kosciusko and Wabash counties, were picked up Monday afternoon and held without bond.
Warsaw police stopped a Pontiac Grand Prix in the 300 block of South Detroit Street about 2 p.m. after getting an anonymous tip that Meagan A. Martens and Douglas B. Jordan were transporting heroin to sell in both counties.
A police canine alerted to the presence of illegal drugs and the police said 18 individual bags of heroin, weighing about 8 grams total, were found on Martens.
Martens, 24, of Wabash, was taken to the Kosciusko County Jail on a charge of dealing in a Schedule I controlled substance and possession of a Schedule I controlled substance.
Jordan, 26, also of Wabash, was booked for dealing in a Schedule I controlled substance.
Any drug tips can be called into the Warsaw Police Department at 574-372-9540.
