UK police arrest 4 on suspicion of terrorism

– British police say they have arrested three men and a woman on suspicion of Syria-related terrorism offenses.

West Midlands police said Tuesday that the suspects’ homes are being searched and they are being questioned.

Police say one 45-year-old is suspected of attending a terrorist training camp.

The others are being questioned on suspicion of facilitating terrorism overseas.

The suspects include a 44-year-old woman, her 20-year-old son, and a 36-year-old man.

Police say they are removing vehicles and electronics for forensic analysis.

There has been an increase in recent months in the number of Britons traveling to Syria to join the battle against the forces of President Bashar Assad.
