K's, Greenville tied at 1

The Komets and Greenville Road Warriors are tied at 1 after one period at Memorial Coliseum.

Defenseman Joe Hartman opened the scoring for Fort Wayne 4:16 into the first period, when his shot from the top of the right circle ricocheted off a Greenville player and slipped past goaltender Jason Missiaen.

The Road Warriors tied it at 16:27 when a shot from the point by defenseman Andrew Himelson was redirected in front by forward Scott Arnold and the puck bounced underneath goalie Andrey Makarov.

Komets do look better than they did in Wednesday's 4-1 loss to Kalamazoo ... so far.
