Busch: Double, no trouble

Now, here's some sheer awesomeness for you.

It's been awhile since anyone's attempted the Indy/Charlotte double, so the news that Kurt Busch will attempt it this year is good news indeed. He's certainly got the perfect scenario to do it: Running for Tony Stewart in NASCAR, who's done the double himself, and for Michael Andretti in IndyCar, which means he won't be getting some beater destined to be less a race car than one of those Indy touring buses.

It's quality on both ends, in other words, which is what you need to do this right.

Of course, there's also the unspoken truth that almost always attends an attempted double, which is that Busch likely has zero chance to win the 500. If he did, he wouldn't be planning this.

But stranger things have happened, I suppose. Though not many.
