Fire damages attached garage

A fire damaged an attached garage at a home in the 7200 block of Penrose Drive on Sunday.

But it left two cats inside the home unscathed.

Fort Wayne firefighters were called to 7241 Penrose just before 7 p.m. and found smoke and fire coming from the garage.

Firefighters extinguished the fire quickly, and there was minor smoke damage to the home.

Two cats inside were unharmed and there were no injuries.
