Lenten programs

Auburn First United Methodist Church, 1203 E. Seventh St., Auburn, will have a communitywide men’s Lenten breakfast series at 6:30 a.m. Fridays through April 11.

Congregational Christian Church, North Manchester, will discuss the topic, “If Jesus was God, Why Did He Have to Die” during the Lent season at 7 p.m. Wednesdays through April 9. For information, call 260-982-2882.

First Presbyterian Church, 300 W. Wayne St., will explore “Earth Care” at 6:30 p.m. Wednesdays through April 9. A catered supper will be served at 5:30 p.m. for $6.50. Reservations are required, call 426-7421.

Trinity Episcopal Church, 611 W. Berry St., will discuss “Practical Compassion and Forgiveness for an Angry World” during Lent at 6 p.m. Wednesdays through April 9. A brown bag dinner will follow.

•Good Shepherd United Methodist Church, 4700 Vance Ave., will host The Northmen and Cathy in concert at 6 p.m. March 15. The program will also feature Jim Sheldon, the Blue Jean Band and former Northmen members. A love-offering will be accepted.
