Storm watch: 4 to 8 inches in most of area, weather service says

Once more, with feeling:

The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm watch for most of northeast Indiana and northwest Ohio, forecasting 4 to 8 inches of snow between Tuesday night and Wednesday afternoon.

Some areas south of Fort Wayne, including Adams and Wells counties in Indiana and Van Wert County, Ohio, are forecast to receive 3 to 6 inches during the period, with slightly lesser winds, the weather service said.

Heavy snow with accumulations of an inch or more per hour are possible during the storm, the weather service said. It said winds of 25 to 35 mph for Fort Wayne and counties to its north, west and east will likely make for difficult travel conditions Wednesday.
