Courgar, Forester men honored

Huntington senior forward Shane Merryman (second team) from Fort Wayne and Saint Francis senior forward Scott Kohne (third team) from Fort Wayne were named Wednesday to the NAIA Division II men’s basketball All-America teams.

Joe Mitchell of Friends (Kan.) was named the NABC-NAIA Division II National Player of the Year. Mitchell, a 6-foot-1 senior guard, led all players at the NAIA Division II level averaging 32.3 points per game.

Receining honorable mention nods were Greg Miller of Grace and Austin Fox of Saint Francis.
