OK, Ben Meisner is no longer with the Komets. He was signed by the CHL's Allen Americans. But this might be something you will enjoy.

Best game of year gets best video

In an action-packed 4-3 shootout victory for the Komets over the Kalamazoo Wings, there was an abundance of great goaltending. Check out the highlights, including William Lacasse's winner, the saves of Matt Grogan (Fort Wayne) and Jordan Binnington (Kalamazoo), and how close Jordon Southorn came to winning it at the end of overtime. From March 22, 2014, at Memorial Coliseum,

Amazing video, amazing game

I thought that was the best game of the season, frankly. A lot of intensity and just unbelievable goaltending by both teams.

Make sure you check out the video above. You will see some great plays in the Komets 4-3 victory over the Kalamazoo Wings in an overtime shootout.

Not just the William Lacasse winner. Or the great Jordan Binnington stop on the 2-on-1 rush.

Look at the part at the end of overtime and how close Jordon Southorn came to scoring. And Matt Grogan was just solid all night for the Komets.

Some interesting nuggets ...

Lacasse hadn't had a shootout attempt this season. But he's been among the best players in practice for the Komets in shootouts.

Grogan played for Komets coach Gary Graham before with the Indiana Ice AAA junior team. The other goalie on that team was Larkin Saalfrank.

How about Kenton Miller scoring? A lot of you were not pleased with the decision to put him into the lineup, but it paid off.

I'd say the Komets are playing with house money today at Kalamazoo, in the respect that the goal coming into this weekend had to be to get at least 2 of 3 games.

It's going to be interesting to see when Ben Meisner gets back in. The plan is to start Grogan today, if he's not too tired. If he is, it will be Kevin Murdock in net.

The Komets played feisty Saturday. They are a better team when they're like that.
