Indiana falls in WNIT quarterfinals

The Indiana women’s basketball team’s season came to an end in the quarterfinals of the WNIT in a 76-64 loss to Summit League regular season champion South Dakota State on Sunday in Brookings, S.D..

The Hoosiers, who trailed 36-29 at halftime got to within 54-51 with 7:33 to play. The Jackrabbits closed the game on an 8-2 run and eight consecutive free throws.

Alexis Gassion led Indiana with 22 points and Larryn Brooks added 16.
